Another 6 weeks, another post, right? LOL NO.
All seriousness though, I’m such a terrible writer/blogger or whatever you want to call it, that my new year’s resolution is to keep my blog updated… and as you can tell so far totally failing considering its past mid year 😦
Also, which reminds me that I have yet to write and upload pictures of my trip to Bali, Bangkok and Europe earlier this year! I promise to get around to it before the year is over 🙂
So, what’s been happening in my life recently? Quick summary: for 6 weeks I did a weight loss/ body transformation program called ‘9in6’ by Ultimate You Change Centre in South bank, Melbourne, which basically means losing 9 kilos in 6 weeks for free. And there’s a catch: you have to lose that 9 kilos in 6 weeks in order for this to be free, if not, like myself (8 kilos – almost there), then it’s $500. Looking back, it was quite expensive for a 6 week program but also considering that was money well spent because in 6 weeks who knows what other disgusting food I would have eaten and probably cost over $500. Yikes, I know, well change comes within so it was a good start and wake up call to changing my diet.
Then fast forward to another 6 weeks, I did another program by the same gym company called ‘Bikini Body Challenge: Phase 1’, this cost almost the same price of $550, but in all honesty (don’t hate me UY gym!) I didn’t feel much of a difference in terms of physical appearance but I did feel stronger. At one point I was able to lift 40 kilos on my back! And just thinking about it, it’s pretty impossible to gain a washboard six pack in 6 weeks no matter how slender you already are! Because muscle takes a long time to develop. I guess that’s why I felt pretty demotivated and my expectations were way too high for this program. Going into this program thinking ‘yeah, I’ll have a six pack in no time!’ and by week 3 ‘where the f*** is my six pack??’ So I guess in a sense why I felt that $550 for a BBC program to ultimately gain a six pack is complete bull, because not only was it very expensive, there was no physical mentor to help push you (only an online mentor), it was only a paper booklet to help guide you in weight training and you had to basically pay for a professional photographer to take your photos at the end of the challenge. The weight training consists on focusing on the areas of shoulders, chest & back, biceps & triceps, legs and core. And lots of core exercises… I f***king hate core exercises!
It was something I’d do once just for the sake of keeping the momentum of exercising up, but never again. I don’t have $1000 to blow in the matter of 3 months. That’s crazy money spent for just a gym!
But the benefits from ending the program did make me see how I can maintain my physical appearance in terms of diet and weight training, and eventually I’ll get the body I so desire after the longest time of dreaming! But i’ve definitely come to realise that to have a bikini body doesn’t take 6 weeks or even 8! There is no deadline to having a bikini body, it’s all about patience and effort! And also, abs are made in the kitchen! Believe this people! No matter how much weights you lift or how long, you won’t get that body if your body is surviving on junk food like cheese burger and fries and milk shakes. No no no!
I have to admit, this is quite a vulnerable post because not only am I describing my struggle with weight loss for the longest time but at the same time showing pictures of my progress to the world! I’m not the kind to post and wanting compliments, I’m not an attention-seeking hoe bag, guys, come on you know me!
I guess you can tell the main difference would be from the stomach area and my arms, less fat and more defined and leaner. Of course, no ass, as usual and my legs look some-what the same. And of course, lighting plays a factor in how your body will look under certain lighting. But, at the end of the day, if you want the best results you really have to treat your body like a temple. Take care of your body, and your body will take care of you! 🙂
Next few posts will be the behind the scenes of my BBC photo shoot! Amateur photos from my iPhone, of course! 😀
